Wedding Music

Wedding Music http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=1263909690&size=s The playing of nuptial music at weddings is a tradition that is still carried on today. Nuptial music is played to create an ambiance, and to provide an atmosphere that celebrates the bride and groom’s personalities and feelings toward each other.

The nuptial music and the music played at the reception are usually selected for personal reasons, which could be on tradition, entertainment, or something else. You don’t need to have music at your wedding but it certainly gives it a festive feel.

Wedding music usually consists of classical pieces, which are suited for the traditional wedding ceremony. However, this doesn’t mean that other modern pieces can’t be substituted for certain nuptial selections.

You should check with the minister, priest or celebrant if there are any restrictions on the wedding music that can be played. By playing nuptial music which is not traditional it is different and could create a lasting impression with your guests (good or bad).

You definitely want the nuptial music and reception music to be the best it can be. To help you make your selection of music, you can listen to music on CD’s (try you local library), internet or even the musicians that you are considering hiring (ask if they have any recorded music that you could listen to).

Most of us take music for granted, but it is a very significant part of every occasion, and organizing your music should not be left to the last minute. Music has always been associated with weddings and even the simplest ceremony is made more beautiful if it is set to music.

Ideally, the music should set the mood and reflect the style of your celebration, starting from the joyful entrance of the bride to the triumphal procession from the church.

Your music should be carefully selected and played well; it will help make your wedding a very special occasion. Selecting your own music is a way for you to personalize the ceremony and reception, so don’t leave the selection of your music to others you may regret it.

Your choice of music should compliment your decoration and floral scheme and the music played should be consistent throughout the day, you should avoid mixing different styles of music such as a classical music piece with heavy metal.

Tips

If you are on a tight budget and hiring musicians is a bit out of reach, why not make up a CD of nuptial music that you want played at the wedding. Have someone who is responsible to be in charge of playing the music at the appropriate times. Also make sure that the equipment the music is to be played on is reliable and in good working order.
