There are plenty of dress lengths available for you to select from. The time of day and the seasons will help you choose the gown hemline.
Asymmetrical
An asymmetrical dress has one side longer that the other. This is a dramatic look and would be best suited to a night time wedding.
Ballerina
The hem line of this skirt falls just above the ankle and is usually quite wide and full. This style would be suitable for day or evening.
Floor
The hem does not go all the way to floor but 1cm to 3 cm (1/2inch to 1 inch) from it. This is a formal look and can be worn for afternoon and evening weddings.
Street
The hem of this dress falls just below the knee. It rarely looks like a wedding gown. Brides marrying for a second or third time may choose to wear this style.
Tea
The hem line length is around lower calf or mid ankle. This is suitable for a smaller woman.
It is more of an informal look and is suited to a late morning or afternoon weddings.
