Choosing a Hair Style for your Wedding Day

Bridal Hair http://flickr.com/photos/60099280@N00/388209920/sizes/s/The hair style that you choose will influence the tone for your total wedding day look.

Make sure that you are happy and comfortable with the style that you have chosen to match your wedding dress.

When choosing a hairstyle, you should not be pressured into wearing a style that you won’t feel completely happy and comfortable with, but do try to be a little adventurous when experimenting for the perfect style.

Be realistic about the amount of time you have before your wedding if you choose to grow your hair longer. Start thinking about your hairstyle soon after you have set the wedding date. This should give you time to grow your hair if you desire long hair for your wedding day, or experiment with a shorter look and give yourself time to try out new hair colors.

Look for a hairdresser you feel comfortable with. Give your hairdresser-stylist as much information as you can about your dress, tiara and veil, bring along any photos of hair styles and colors that you would like to try.

Book yourself in for a professional scalp massage and deep-conditioning treatment a least one week before the wedding day. If you decide to have your hair trimmed, colored, permed or treated, do this two to three weeks before the wedding. This will give your hair a chance to relax after any treatments and if there is a disaster you will have the time to fix it.

You should also start a hair care regime to give your great looking hair this should be started well before the wedding. If you are having trouble deciding on a style, take a look at our wedding hair gallery.

If you choose to style your own hair, keep it simple and stylish, such as having it down and blow dry then pulled back with some fancy clips.

The headpiece that you choose should compliment your face, gown and hairstyle. Try on various headpieces, taking note of the thickness and texture of your hair, move and act naturally with the head piece on, together with your wedding dress, veil and hair style.

Wedding Tip
#2

If you are on a tight budget use lots of greenery.

Greenery is inexpenvise and will make a great filler and you will use less flowers.

Try using potted plants and shrubs such a ficus trees which can be rented.

You may even have your own fake trees at home, or you could borrow from friends and family.

These will look charming when lit with tiny lights.
