Wedding Gown Embellishments
Some brides like the simple and
straight elegant look of a gown without any embellishments. While other
brides prefer color, the sparkle of jewels, and laces to make the gown
their own.
Embellishment on a wedding gown
sets it apart from any long white dress. When used imaginatively the
use of embellishments such as appliqués, beads, embroidery,
sequins, jewels, lace even feathers can make a wedding gown
unique.
Most of the details on a wedding
gown are done by hand which creates a unique individual gown.

Appliqués
Appliqués are pieces of the same or
contrasting fabrics which are sewn onto the dress to create a pattern;
it can be enhanced with embroidery, sequins or bead work. |
 |
Beads
Can be made from crystal, gems, glass or metal.
These can be applied to create a pattern anywhere on the dress, or just
used to give details to certain areas, such as the sleeves, bodice,
neckline or hems.
The beads can also be in colors of soft shades. |
 |
Embroidery
Can take the shape of flowers or other designs;
it can be all over the dress or just added as details here and there. |
 |
Jewels
These give sparkle and shine to a gown. The
jewels could be real or costume. |
 |
Lace
Lace gives a delicate touch to any gown.
The lace can cover the entire gown or just be in certain sections. |

Wedding Tip
#2
If you are on a tight budget use lots of greenery.
Greenery is inexpenvise and will make a great filler and you will use less flowers.
Try using potted plants and shrubs such a ficus trees which can be rented.
You may even have your own fake trees at home, or you could borrow from friends and family.
These will look charming when lit with tiny lights.
