Double Strand Bracelet
This intricate double strand bracelet appears to be complicated to bead, but it is not. Each of the center groups of beads is strung onto two wires, the side beads are strung onto a single wire. The simple pattern repeats for the length of the bracelet. Both the seed beads and the “E” beads compliment the center beads. The length of the center bead will determine how wide the bracelet will be because the beads are strung sideways. For a stunning bridal bracelet make this in crystal beads. Materials
Spacer beads gold Seed beads green Seed beads (“E” size) green (The “E” bead is slightly larger than the seed beads) Emerald 12 x 6mm (1/2 x 1/4 inch) glass tube beads 1 x Green 8mm (1/2 inch) round bead 140cm (54 inch) of 32 gauge beading wire How to make the Double Strand Bracelet![]() 1. Fold a 140cm (54 inch) length of beading wire in half. String on twenty one green seed beads onto one end of the wire and slide down to the center of the wire. Thread both the wire ends through a gold spacer bead, this will cap the loop portion of the clasp. An 8mm (¼ inch) bead should fit through this loop. If this loop is not large enough remove the gold bead and add or remove the seed beads to get the correct loop size then replace the gold bead. ![]() 2. String four green seed beads, and one green “E” seed bead and one green seed bead onto each of the strands.
3. String onto one strand, one gold bead, one emerald tube bead and one gold bead. Then thread the second wire through the three beads in the opposite directions (see below).
4. Holding one wire in each hand and use a gentle even pressure to pull the wires out from the bracelet to slide the beads down.
5. String onto each of the strands one green seed bead, one green “E” seed bead and one green seed bead.
6. Repeat steps 3 – 5 until you have a 18cm (7 inch) of bead length (starting from the tip of the loop). Ending the row with step 3.
7. String onto each strand one green seed bead, one green “E” bead and four green seed beads. ![]() 8. Bring both strands together and thread through one gold bead, one green 8mm (¼ inch) bead and one gold bead (this bead will hold the green 8mm bead in place). Thread both of the wires back down through the green 8mm (¼ inch) bead and gold bead.
9. Tightly wrap the two wires several times under the gold bead before trimming away the excess wire.
