Use
this bridal
shower checklist to help with the bridal shower planning. Ideally start
the planning at least two months before the date.
If you are planning a bridal shower closer to the wedding date make
sure that the planning starts even earlier, because this might be a
busy time for you and those who will help you with the cooking,
decorating, and other details.

6 to 8 weeks before
Select a time and date for the shower.
Select the location for the shower.
6 weeks before
Plan a Menu and Decorations.
Make or buy the invitations.
4 weeks before
Buy your gift for the bride (Give yourself more
time
if you are making the gift).
Buy or make shower favors.
Plan the activities and prizes.
3 to 4 weeks before
Send out the invitations.
Make sure that you have the right table cloths,
serving dishes, cutlery, crockery, glasses and so on.
Purchase the decorations.
Prepare the shopping list for all the menu
ingredients.
Check tables and chairs be sure that there is
enough.
2 weeks before
Thoroughly clean your house and backyard if the
shower is to be held there.
Order flowers and centerpieces if required.
Buy the non-perishable food for the menu.
Iron table linens if necessary.
2 to 3 days before
Buy the rest of the food for the menu, except
the
fresh bread and rolls.
Do a final clean of your house.
The day before
Prepare as much of the menu as possible (also
get
some help to do this).
Set up the tables and decorations.
Assemble items for the activities (if you are
having
any).
Make sure that your gift to the bride is
wrapped.
Buy perishable favors or make them.
Do a quick check of the house to see that
everything
is in order.
The day of the party
Arrange the centerpieces on the tables.
Buy fresh bread and rolls.
Set out the coasters and ashtrays.
Prepare the rest of the menu.
Set up an area for the gifts.
Last Minute details
Be dressed at least one hour before the guests
arrive, some may arrive early.
Make sure that the beverages are ready.
If you can take a moment to relax before the
guest
arrive do so.
Greet your guests and have a good time.
