How to make

Assorted beads of your choice (I used seed beads)

Gold beading wire 24 gauge

Cut a piece of 24 gauge wire 30cm (12 inches) long and fold it in half. Twist the folded end of the wire to form a little loop. Slide several beads of your choice over both pieces of wire. Twist the wire underneath the beads to keep in place. This is the tail section of the dragonfly.


Next, make a small loop with the right hand wire. Tuck the wire behind the straight wire.


Use the same piece of wire to make a small loop on the left side about the same size.


Use the other piece of wire to make a loop on the left hand side slightly bigger than the first two loops.


Repeat the above steps for the right side. You will now have two larger wings.


Loop each end of the remaining wire around the joints of the loops to secure and tighten them. Add a few more beads over the two wires to complete the body.


Trim the excess wire and curl the antennae and add a bead to each antenna. Shape the wings if you wish.
